NGO Management Internship in Africa

Art in Tanzania is a self-sustainable non-profit charity NGO in Tanzania. We have performed community-based development work and run self-sustainable operations since 1996.

Details
Our community-based programs focus on empowering the local communities and individual people.

You experience the daily life and culture in Tanzania while witnessing the growth of one of the fastest-growing African economies.

Students will participate in and develop the NGO's daily operations. We commonly have 15-40 students from different parts of the world, from over 400 universities we cooperate with, and representing a variety of professions.

You manage students' weekly plans and reports, make budgets and accounts, develop ongoing community programs, and plan new approaches.

The internship outcome is to learn to use and get experience to implement your education in developing country conditions with limited capacity and, most importantly, to learn work skills to run an NGO in Africa.

Work hours are 6-8 hours per day, Monday through Friday. Your program term is adjustable.

We can take students in all year round as all programs are ongoing. We accept applications from all students and alumni. Your placement is tailored to your background, experience, and interests to empower our daily work with the communities.

The typical daily morning tasks include advocating in the schools and communities and planning, reporting, and social media visibility functions.

You and your visiting friends can enjoy low-cost, sustainable tours and safaris.

The Benefits and Perks are as follows:
Accommodation and meals are personal expenses. Accommodation with breakfast and dinner and the student compound is for 1-13 weeks, EUR 175 per week, and from week 14 onwards, it is EUR 125 weekly.
Airport transfer is EUR 60 in one way, which is a personal expense.
A Charity VISA for immigration of USD 50 is a personal expense. For less than 12 months, a multiple entry visa is USD 250.
We pay you a USD 100 per month stipend. It is small but 2x Tanzania's national minimum wage.
Flights are a personal expense.
Local transport, if any, is a personal expense.
