Summer Trainee, Design Engineer, Mechanics

We are looking for Mechanical Engineer Trainee to join in Normet R&D Platform team in Iisalmi, from 2nd of May to 31st of August 2023. Team is responsible for platform development e.g., cabins, battery electric power modules and engine modules. In this position, you will do e.g. prototype feedback handling including manufacturing and assembly drawing updates and smaller design work. The final job content will be adjusted according to your skills and interest, so feel free to contact us to get more information.

What we expect from you?

-Minimum 2nd year Mechanical Engineering student, Bachelor or Master´s degree.
-Know typical manufacturing methods of steel structures.
-Practical experience from steel structure manufacturing or assembly is an advance.
-Good communication skills in Finnish and English.
-Right attitude to work in a global network with different personalities and cultural backgrounds.
-Be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
-Be proactive and eager to learn.
-Have a can-do and results-driven attitude.
