Summer Trainee, Software Development Engineer

We are looking for a

Software Engineer Summer Trainee

to join Normet’s R&D software development team in Iisalmi, Oulu or Espoo, Finland on 1 June – 31 August, 2023.

Team is responsible of control system software development for Normet equipment portfolio. In this position, you will participate in the control system software development process by coding and testing machine control system or related functionalities.

What we expect from you?

-Engineering or other studies (Technology) in relevant field
-Studies or experience from C programming and embedded systems is considered as an advantage
-Willingness to learn control system software engineering methods and technologies used in tunnelling and mining machine development
-Good communication skills in Finnish and English
-Have the right attitude to work with a global network of people with different personalities and cultural backgrounds
-Be proactive and eager to learn
