Summer Trainee, Automation Engineer

We are looking for an Automation Engineer as a Summer Trainee to join our R&D Automation Development team in Oulu, Iisalmi or Espoo, Finland. The position is full time and fixed-term, and it takes place on 1.6-31.8.2023. Possibilities to continue work after summer work can be discussed.

Our team is responsible for developing present and future automation systems for underground mining and tunneling processes. You will be part of our innovative and research-oriented team.

In this position, you will participate in automation software development process by testing and/or developing the machine functionalities in our automated processes. Responsibilities and tasks may be adjusted based on the competence, studies and subject of person interest.

What we expect from you?

-Engineering or other studies (Technology) in relevant field
-Ambitiousness to learn automation methods and technologies used in tunnelling and mining machine automation development
-Good communication skills in Finnish and English
-Good interaction and collaboration skills
-Experience on coding and testing of embedded systems as an advantage
-Have the right attitude to work with a network of people and eager to learn new
